IWAC Celebrates One Of Her Golden Son In Coutonou
The headquarters of Iwo Action Council IWAC was temporarily moved to Cotonou, Republic of Benin over the weekend to honour one of the Pillars of Amere dynasty Alhaji Taleatu Akintayo Amere, who celebrated his 80th birthday anniversary.
The IWAC Chairman, Alhaji Isiak Soladogun and the Secretary, Mr Tunde Akinlawon as well as other high ranking IWAC officials represented Iwo community on the occasion.
Alhaji Taleatu Amere who also celebrated 50 years of his sojourn in that country, expressed satisfaction with progress being made in Iwo, especially the installation of the new Oluwo without much acrimony.
He further commended the people of Iwo-Ayedire-Olaoluwa federal constituency for the support being given to Honourable Gafar Akintayo Amere adding that the Honorable would deliver all his campaign promises.
On hand to welcome all the visitors, was Honourable Gafar Amere along with other prominent members of Amere dynasty.
