AMERE: "WORK WILL SOON START ON IWO-OYO FEDERAL ROAD"

A federal lawmaker representing Iwo/Aiyedire/Ola-Oluwa federal constituency, Hon Gafar Amere has stated that work will soon resume on the construction of Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo road which has been abandoned for sometime now.

The member Appropriations Committee of the Federal House Of Representatives Abuja, disclosed this at the occasion of award ceremony by a muslim organisation at Olupona, in Ayedire East local
govt of Osun State. Hon Amere who was represented by his Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Alfa Kabiru Rabiu at the event expressed optimism that money would be released for the resumption of work on the road having being appropriated for in the current fiscal year.


The lawmaker also stated that the on-going vocational training in Iwo was aimed at giving even distribution of development in the Federal Constituency. The vocational programme currently has fifty participants which were drawn from each ward in the constituency including Oluponna.


Honourable Amere equally congratulated members of the community for being one of the beneficiaries from the creation of local governments by the Aregbesola Administration. He was later given an award of excellence by the organisation to the admiration of his aides and well wishers.
