1987 to the family of Alhaji Adegbenro Daud Badru and Late Alhaja Taiwo
Arike Badru. He was named after his grandfather who was a renowned
Islamic scholar. Paternally, he’s a 5th generation grandson of the Great
Amin warrior of Iwoland and of Alapini Royal Dynasty of Oyo Empire

and mentor, George Akinyemi Iwilade. Sadly, George was murdered less
than a year after he was admitted to the college. In 2002, Badru was
made the deputy Imam of the school’s Muslim Students Society of Nigeria
and in 2003, he became the Imam, a position he held till he graduated in
2004, just like his father and grandfather.
After
making his papers at one sitting, Badru was offered admission to study
